Your USDOT number must be visible from at least 50 feet away. We recommend displaying it at 2 inches in height or larger. Also, the lettering must contrast with the color of your commercial vehicle. If you have a white truck, we recommend a dark color such as black or navy. You must also display your lettering on both sides of your truck to make it easier for authorities to identify you.
